Day 1 - Shannon to Killarney
Following an early morning arrival at Shannon Airport, you will be met by your
guide and escorted to your luxury motorcoach. From there, you travel via Limerick
to the village of Adare, then continue on to
Newcastlewest, Abbeyfeale, and Castle island. Finally, you will end your
Day 1 tour at "Beauty's Home", Killarney. Following hotel check-in, the remainder of the afternoon is
free to rest, take a dip in the hotel swimming pool, or enjoy the leisure center.
After you take some time to relax, join us for dinner in the hotel!
Day 2 - Explore
Killarney
Your first stop this morning
will be the Killarney National Park, where you will visit Muckross
House. Built in 1843 (and opened to the public in 1932), Muckross House
boasts a variety of exhibitions pertaining to the natural history,
furniture, and folk life in County Kerry. Here, you will also have an opportunity to visit the Muckross traditional farms, which
depict rural Irish life times of yore. Your
Day 2 tour will continue at Ross Castle. This magnificent
structure, built in the 15th Century by Norman conquerors, overlooks the largest of the Killarney
Lakes.
You then travel to Aghadoe for another spectacular view of the Lakes of Killarney, where you will be able to see Carranuohill, Ireland's highest mountain, in the distance. In the late afternoon, you will return to your hotel for some relaxation time and dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 - Ring of Kerry
Day
3 finds you at one of Ireland's most famour landmarks. The Ring of
Kerry. Your first visit theis morning is to the Caragh Lake
Bog Village, Where you can visit quaint thatched cottages and see
how Irish folk lived years ago. You then continue through the
wild and rugged landscape of the Iveragh Peninsula and enjoy
breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastling. On your way, you
pass through the towns of Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen,
Waterville, and Sneem before returning to Killarney via Moll's Gap.
Tonight you are free for dinner.
Day 4 -Blarney
Today, your tour takes you to Blarney, in County Cork. Here you
will have an opportunity
to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone, said to
bestow the gift of eloquence on all those who dare. This will be
followed by some free time for lunch and a visit to the Blarney Woolen
Mills, which carries a wide range of sweaters, tweeds, china and
crystal. You then continue back to Killarney. Tonight:
dinner is in you hotel.
Day 5 - Dingle Peninsula
Today, you will enjoy the unspoiled beauty of
the Dingle Peninsula. You will
travel back in time, as you see some beehive huts (early monastic
settlements) dating back over a thousand years. Your tour will
take you to the most westerly point of Ireland from where you can view
the Blasket Islands. You will also see the locations for such
films as "Ryan's Daughter" and the more recently filmed
"Far and Away", which starred Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
There will be some free time in Dingle for lunch before returning to
Killarney. Tonight: you are free for dinner.

Day 6 - Cork City - kinsale
This morning, you travel to Cork City,
founded by St. Finbarr, in the seventh century. It is now the
second largest city in the Republic of Ireland. After some free
time in Cork City, you will continue to Kinsale, which is situated on
the estuary of the Bandon River. Kinsale, which has a long and
interesting history, is famous for its restaurants, and is known as
"The gourmet capital of Ireland". It also has some old
winding cobblestone streets and interesting little shops. Here,
you will have some time for lunch and a walk around town before
returning to Killarney. Tonight:dinner is in your hotel
Day 7 - Free Day
Today you have a free day. There are five
18-hole championship courses in the Killarney
area. You may wish to take a cruise on the Lakes of Killarney, or
go for a ride through the Killarney National Park on a jaunting car
(horse-drawn carriage). You may also like to do some horseback
riding, or take in one of the popular local day trips - "The Gap of
Dunloe". Your tour guides will be on hand to give advice and
help make any advance booking necessary. Your coaches will also be
available for transfers to and from the town center throughout the day.
Tonight: you are free for dinner.
Day 8 - The Beara Peninsula
Today, your tour takes you to the Beara
Peninsula. You will travel first to Kenmare. You continue
over the Caha Mountains, with some beautiful views of Bantry Bay in the
distance, to Glengarriff. From here, you travel along the southern
side of the Beara with views of Garnish Island and Bear Island to
Castletownbere. You travel over the Slieve Misk Mountains, and
continue along the northern side of the peninsula before returning to
Killarney. Tonight: you are free for dinner.
Day 9 - Cliffs of Moher
This morning, you travel to Tralee, capital town of
County Kerry and famous for the
Rose of Tralee Festival. You continue to Tarbert, where you board
the Shannon Ferry, which crosses the Shannon Estuary to Killimer.
You travel the coast road to the Majestic cliffs of Moher, which rise to
a height of 600 ft. over the Atlantic Ocean. You continue to Ennis
and Bunratty for a stop at Ireland's oldest pub, "Durty
Nellie's". Tonight: we stay in Bunratty. Dinner is in
your hotel.
This
evening you will attend The Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet.
Day 10 - Shannon Airport
Today, sadly, you bid farewell to The Emerald Isle. Duty-free shopping
before your flight home.
